Engage Readers with Sketchcasting
Thursday, 26 July 2007

Sketchcasting is basically podcasting with a whiteboard. Rather than publishing content through text or audio, authors express their ideas on a whiteboard (through video). I think this method of conveying thoughts and ideas to your audience is very effective because it will engage readers at whole a new level. People who learn better through the use of visuals will instantly be stimulated.

Sample ideas which can be expressed through Sketchcasting include:
  • Math Problems
  • Sales/Marketing Presentations (alternative to PowerPoint)
  • Football Plays
  • Storyboarding
  • Pseudocode for Programmers

Below is a sample Sketchcast created by Richard Ziade
